Membership Conditions / Responsibilities
Applications for membership will be reviewed by the Linux Australia Council. In some instances we may contact you to get more information about your connection to the open technologies communities within Australiasia to justify your membership being approved. Given the organisation is volunteer operated, we aim to process applications as soon as we can, but there may be delays due to time availability. You will receive a notification via email once the application has been processed.
Please note that as per clause MemReg-5 of the Linux Australia Constitution, no information about a member, other than the member’s name, can be made available for inspection unless the member authorises that information to be released.

4 Nov 2026: The membership application form is not working at present due to vulnerability mitigations. Linux Australia is a volunteer-run organisation, and work continues to rectify the problem as time allows. It is hoped that full functionality will be restored by the end of next week (13 Nov 2026). We apologise for the inconvenience.
