IT SUPPORT ENGINEER (OS X, Linux/UNIX environment) - BigCommerce

BigCommerce is looking for a smart IT Support Engineer to provide Desktop and IT Infrastructure support to the Sydney office.

We have a 60 person engineering, tech ops, design, and product team based in Sydney and 90 sales, support and marketing people in Austin, Texas.

Who are you and what are we looking for:

A strong customer service ethic.
2 years help desk experience.
2 years of desktop support experience in OS X.
1 years of network support experience.
Strong troubleshooting methodologies.
Comfortable in a UNIX/Linux environment.
Ability to tackle problems outside your comfort zone.
A thirst for learning and getting the job done.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
MUST have Work Rights in Australia (PR or Australian Citizen)

Other things we’re looking for:

Working experience with virtulisation.
Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The ability to automate manual tasks using languages such as Bash, PHP, Perl, Python or Ruby.
