Hi all!

This year at, the residential college arrangements will be a little different from most years we think for the better! We're not only offering the usual conference networking, but a couple of different styles of accommodation also.

The single room university accommodation comes in two flavours : Single rooms in the residential college itself. These rooms are just a bed and desk with a communal bathroom arrangement, sharing with others in the dorm. More info can be found at

What will make this year different however, is that we are offering a number of 6 bedroom dorms also, for the same price. These dorms have one bathroom shared with 3 rooms, kitchen and lounge and meeting areas so are a lot more flexible and quiet.

This also means if you're travelling to LCA in a group, you can choose to stay next to your mates. More information and floor plans can be found at

Rather than randomly allocating everyone, we thought, why not give you the option to choose who you'd like to stay with? So, if there's other delegates who are also booked into Uni accommodation who you'd like to have a room near, please let us know!

Although the organising team will do their best to accommodate your preferences, we cannot guarantee that we'll be able to put all of your choices in the same apartments. First in, first served! Please make sure you email us with your request at by Sunday 11th January 2009.

What do I need

  • Yes, towels and bedding are provided.
  • You should bring your own toiletries like soap, shampoo, tooth paste & deodorant.
  • There is a supermarket nearby to buy these items if you forget.
  • There is a free laundrette with dryers available, delegates are to provide own washin powder/liquid, if you want to hang clothes on the clothesline, you'll have to provide pegs.
  • If you plan to drive, there is parking available at the residential colleges, however, ensure you park in the GREEN areas otherwise you could suffer a fine of $50
  • Check in is from Sunday 18th Jan 1400
  • Reception is open 0830 - 1700. After hours check in can be performed by pressing the button marked "reception" on the silver intercomm on the wall across from the doors to reception.
  • Breakfast is served in the hall behind the reception building. Times are on the door.
