  • LCA2011 Friday Morning Keynote

    On the last day of linux.conf.au 2011, Mark Pesce gave the final keynote entitled “Smoke Signals”. The slides and an essay based on the presentation are available on Mark's website.

    After the keynote both the conference organising team and members of the Linux Australia council received complaints from attendees regarding some of the content and imagery in the presentation. The imagery in particular was of a nature that was upsetting to a number of viewers.

  • LCA2013 Bid Process Open

    Howdy,

    We have just come off the tail end of linux.conf.au 2011 and I'm very much looking forwarded to linux.conf.au 2012 in Ballarat next year. However it is now time to look forwards to 2013.

    We have moved the bid process much earlier this year to give teams more of a chance to get organised and to leave the wining team enough time to make preparations for the announcement at linux.conf.au 2012.

    The new timeline is outlined below:

  • Linux Australia Survey

    The Linux Australia Council launched a Membership Survey on 11 May, 2010. The Survey was designed to ascertain what our members expect from Linux Australia and to explore our focus, potential services, how our membership want to engage with us, and to ascertain our relevance to the Linux and FOSS community.
