The Consumer View of Technology

Do we truly understand the consumer when developing solutions. How to they think, and what do they expect. You may be seriously surprised.
Based on OpenMedia's experience of producing a consumer appliance (myPVR) this will be an interactive session, the purpose of which is to help the audience to understand the consumer market. The world of enterprise application development, with known requirements and deliverables, is a world away from the consumer market.
How do we judge the expectations and requirements of our customers without the market research budgets of large corporates. You can then move beyond a niche solution into a killer product.
Contrasting the consumer's and developer's perspectives of your product, and understanding how BYAG can affect your decisions.
