Fighting spammers with exim and sa-exim

Seminar

Advanced mail filtering with exim4 and integrated spam filtering at SMTP time This talk is to present my work on sa-exim: http://marc.merlins.org/linux/exim/sa.html - exim4's ACL directives - how to very granularly reject and accept Email on multiple criteria - exim's local scan API - basics of spamassassin - how to use sa-exim to integrate spamassassin and do SMTP time filtering and rejection - how to fight back with spammers: teergrubing with SA-Exim - the best of both worlds: score dependant greylisting (i.e. only greylist mail that you are unsure about)

Marc MERLIN

I've been using linux for more than 10 years, both as a sysadmin and a sunday coder :-) I have worked for Network Appliance, SGI, VA Linux, Sourceforge.net, and now work as a server sysadmin at Google. I've enjoyed hacking on mail in the last years, be it exim, mailman, or more recently SpamAssassin and SA-Exim, which I wrote from scratch For fun, when I'm not hacking away, I go snowboarding, mountain biking, or racing my turbo mazda MX-5
