A great many changes have gone into the 2.6 "stable" kernel series. This talk will be an up-to-the-minute summary of major kernel developments, with an emphasis on kernel internals. Projects which are likely to be included in the near future will also be covered.

Jonathan Corbet is a co-founder of LWN.net and the author of its Kernel Page. He is the co-author of Linux Device Drivers, Second and Third Editions, published by O'Reilly and an occasional submitter of patches to the 2.6 kernel.
