LCA 2004 started at Wed Jan 14 08:00:00 2004. Works in ProgressThe ``Works in Progress'' session (or WIP) is being held on Thursday evening in Elder Hall. As a linux.conf.au attendee, you (yes you!) have the opportunity to be able to give a brief presentation on any Linux-related project that you are currently working on. The time available will be divided up evenly between speakers (eg. 3-5 minutes each depending on the number of speakers). Presentation lengths will be strictly enforced, so come prepared. Using laptops or anything else that requires prior setting up will not be possible. To participate in the WIP session, please prepare a poster (up to 4 A4 sheets of paper) on your project and hand it someone at the registration desk by 5pm on Wednesday. It doesn't need to be anything particularly fancy; hand-written is more than alright. They'll be displayed around the conference for people to read during conference breaks. In short, come along to the session and expect to hear about a wide range of Linux related topics, in a very short space of time. See Paul Schulz or email the conference organisers (lca2004-organisers@linuxsa.org.au) for more information. |
