LCA 2004 started at Wed Jan 14 08:00:00 2004. LPI Certification at LCA2004
Under the guidance of Linux Professional Institute, Linux Australia, LCA2004 and a bunch of volunteer LPI exam proctors, are offering LPI certification exams 101, 102, 201 and 202 for a heavily discounted price at LCA2004. These exams normally cost between AUD$150 and AUD$200 each (USD$100), but will be available on the Monday and Tuesday before LCA2004 for the low, low price of AUD$60 (inc GST) per exam. The only catch being that the exam results cannot be processed on the spot and will take around two weeks before you're notified of your results. LPI exams 101 and 102 make up the LPI Level One certification (LPIC-1) and is a prerequisite for completing exams 201 and 202 (LPI Level Two certification, or LPIC-2). Be warned though - these are tough exams and the pass rate at the moment sits somewhere just over 50%. You can find out plenty more about the exams themselves at the LPI.org certification website.
When? There will be a morning and an afternoon session on each of Monday 12th January and Tuesday 13th January (2004). For more information, please see the LCA2004 programme.
How?Registration for these exams has been made quite easy by the LCA2004 team. All you need to do is register for LCA2004 and select how many exams you'd like to sit! Apart from that and complying with the exams rules (see below), it's done!
Important: Exam Rules
