Dymocks Books Discount

Linux.conf.au is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a 20% discount for all books ordered from Dymocks Adelaide between now and the end of Linux.conf.au on Saturday, January 17th 2004. This offer applies to all books in all subject areas! (but excludes already-discounted books)

Books are only sold by the Adelaide franchise of Dymocks. No other Dymocks outlet will honour the discount or even know anything about Linux.conf.au. Dymocks Adelaide do not have an online ordering system however we have developed a simple email procedure.

Dymocks Adelaide is located at 136 Rundle Mall, Adelaide, SA 5000. See the Dymock's Web Site for a few details and a photo.

How do I qualify?

Pay for Linux.conf.au attendance! No books will be supplied to registrants who have not paid and yes, Dymocks have a way of knowing.

What do I do?

Send an email to orders@dymade.com.au with a subject line of "Linux.conf.au order".

In the body of the email you should:

  • List the titles you are interested in (including an ISBN if possible).

  • Provide the first four characters of your LCA2004 customer number, which can be found on the invoice which you were emailed with when you registered. If you lost your registration email and customer number you can get it resent to you by entering your email address on this page.

  • Say "Quote only" if you are only wanting a quote by return email.

  • Say "Delivery" and a give delivery address if you want delivery. There may be a charge for delivery.

For payment you have these options:

  • Say "Ring" and supply a phone number. Dymocks will ring you and do a credit card purchase in the usual way.

  • Order before the conference for delivery at the conference, and pay using EFTPOS (credit cards etc) during the conference.

  • Present yourself to Dymocks Adelaide and pay in person! (don't forget to bring your customer number)

  • Email your credit card number to Dymocks (need we say, this is a very bad idea...? :-)

What about Privacy?

Linux.conf.au does not give any information to any sponsor about attendees. Dymocks have been given the ability to check whether or not a particular customer number is associated with a paid-up registrant. No further information is disclosed.
